The refreshed Legion Pro 5 16 covers almost everything you'd want from a midrange gaming laptop. However, some desirable features like AdobeRGB, Thunderbolt, and Advanced Optimus are unfortunately omitted.

Take a look at the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 if you want a mobile workstation that lets you move around your workspace or take it with you without giving up power. Even though it looks like a laptop, the P16 has insane performance. This means that you can work on your projects on a job site, at the office, on the go, or at home.

The Precision 7670 is at its best when configured with higher-end CPU and GPU options. At lower-end options, however, you can find thinner and lighter alternatives that can offer about the same level of performance.

The Precision 5470 is faster and more powerful than its small size would otherwise suggest. This is the workstation model to get if you want to keep performance as high as possible on a small 14-inch form factor.

A huge boost in GPU power over the Precision 5550. If the Quadro RTX A2000 is of no interest to you, however, then you might want to consider last year's visually identical model instead.

The reliable ZBook Studio G8 runs great and looks even better despite its one-year-old design. However, the GeForce RTX 3070 is underwhelming while the OLED panel carries a few notable drawbacks when compared to cheaper IPS options.

With its solid keyboard, sleek and professional design, good speakers, and ample CPU/GPU performance, the HP ZBook Studio G7 makes a strong showing as a premium workhorse portable notebook that's also capable as a multimedia powerhouse. Still, other than its cost, I have some disappointments with the G7: soldered RAM, the lack of a second NVMe bay, and less-than-robust port selection may give some buyers pause. I'll get in-depth on all of these in this review.

This gen8 Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is a mixed bag. It's still a good high-tier laptop with powerful components and solid performance in demanding loads, as well as an ergonomic utilitarian design. It's also among the more competitvely priced options in its class. But at the same time, compromises were made with this series, as this runs toasty on the high-power profiles and is only offered with a standad-gamut screen, among others.

The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go.

The Asus Zephyrus G15 gaming laptop trades straight-line performance for a well-built, thin-and-light chassis, though its lack of a webcam is a downer.
