Lenovo Legion Pro 7i

This gen8 Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is a mixed bag. It's still a good high-tier laptop with powerful components and solid performance in demanding loads, as well as an ergonomic utilitarian design. It's also among the more competitvely priced options in its class. But at the same time, compromises were made with this series, as this runs toasty on the high-power profiles and is only offered with a standad-gamut screen, among others.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is an impressive machine. It feels surprisingly compact for a gaming laptop, especially one packing a 16-inch display and upper-tier hardware. It’s all the more stunning that the components can keep up their pace for the long haul with sustainable thermals. It may not have the battery life or weight of an ultrabook, but it makes the most of its size. And for the price, it’d be hard to get a machine that runs better.
