The Canon PIXMA TR150 is mediocre for family use. It lacks a scanner, and it doesn't yield many black or color pages; however, its cost-per-print is very good, especially for color and photo printing. It produces photos with a good amount of detail, with well-defined and somewhat accurate-looking colors.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is great for small or home office use. Its black and color page yields are great, so your print jobs won't often be interrupted by a low ink warning. You only need to worry about typical inkjet maintenance routines like printhead cleaning, and it's easy to access potential paper jams. When printing, it gets the first page out decently quickly and prints black text documents at a decent speed. Its ADF can scan double-sided documents in a single pass, making it easy to turn physical copies into digital, searchable PDFs.

The Canon G3260 is good for family use. It features a flatbed scanner with a high resolution and color depth, which is great for digitizing photos. Its photo printing quality is good, with decent color accuracy, so it's more than enough for hobbies and casual photo prints. It has an incredibly low cost-per-print for both black and color documents. It offers Wi-Fi printing and is compatible with a mobile app, but sadly, it can't print directly from a USB thumb drive or SD card.

The Lexmark B2236dw is excellent for black and white printing. It's very cost-efficient as it has a low cost-per-print, and it can yield a lot of pages before its toner cartridge needs to be replaced. There are even higher yield cartridges available too, which is nice. This printer can also print off up to 35 pages a minute.
