Corsair’s K63 is only the second wireless mechanical keyboard from a mainstream manufacturer, and the first with backlighting. The battery’s a bit short, but everything else about it is fantastic.

The Cooler Master CK552 is a great value, offering a sleek aluminum design, full RGB per-key lighting, and smooth and responsive switches. You can easily pay more than $100 for a similar package from competing manufacturers. Gamers on a budget looking for a well-built, well-rounded keyboard should put the CK552 on their shortlist.

The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum is a pricey gaming keyboard with an ideal blend of aesthetics and functionality that leaves little room for improvement.

The K95 RGB Platinum is a beautiful keyboard with excellent switches, top-tier lighting, and one of the biggest footprints you’ll ever find. And it’s still smaller than the old K90!

The Corsair K100 AIR is an outstanding gaming keyboard. It has impressive overall build quality and exceptionally low latency, supporting a maximum polling rate of 8000Hz using a wired connection or 2000Hz with a wireless connection. The low-profile, butterfly-style switches have a light tactile bump to overcome before actuating. However, they still feel very responsive due to an extremely low pre-travel and total travel distance. The low profile design of this keyboard also makes it comfortable to use without needing a wrist rest, although the keycaps themselves feel less high-quality than other aspects of the board.

The ASUS ROG Claymore II is excellent for gaming. It has low latency, a low pre-travel distance, customizable RGB backlighting, and you can set macros to any key on the board. It feels well built, and it comes with a detachable plushy wrist rest. You can place its modular numpad on the left or right side of the board, and you can even remove it completely to turn the board into a TKL size. Unfortunately, the ROG RX Blue Optical Mechanical switches require some force to actuate, which may cause them to feel heavy.

The Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 is an outstanding gaming keyboard. Every key is macro-programmable, and you can customize the RGB backlighting on a per-key basis. It's available in a few different switches, but our unit has Cherry MX Brown switches that have minimal pre-travel distance and are fairly light to press.

The Kinesis Gaming Freestyle Edge is a fantastic gaming keyboard. It features Cherry MX Brown switches and RGB lighting, but you can also get it with Cherry MX Red or Blue switches. The keyboard is solid and feels sturdy, and you can reprogram every key, including the dedicated macro keys. Its latency is also low enough for responsive gaming, but it's higher than other gaming keyboards.

The ROCCAT Vulcan 120 AIMO is an excellent gaming keyboard. The new Titan switches offer great tactile feedback and are silent. The pre-travel distance is standard and the keys feel light. The board feels well-made and has a unique style, with low profile keycaps and full RGB lighting, which is great for playing in the dark.

The Razer Hunstman Elite brings something new to the table with its exceptional optical switches, and useful features like the illuminated wrist rest and programmable wheel. The $200 price tag is a hard pill to swallow though, especially when it’s missing some features found on other boards at this price-point, like the Corsair K95. Still, its really great lighting and features make it an excellent and a very unique keyboard.
