The Cooler Master MM710 is an excellent mouse for ultra-light gaming. It's one of the lightest mice that we've tested so far and has outstanding performance. Its ambidextrous design should be comfortable in every grip, though people with larger hands may be better off with a slightly bigger mouse. While the mouse is made of dense plastic, unfortunately the side buttons can be activated by squeezing the frame below them, which is concerning.

When it comes to wireless gaming mice, the Corsair Dark Core RGB PRO stands out as a clear frontrunner. It has a fantastic sensor with a maximum resolution of 18,000 DPI. The click latency is very minimal, and the highest polling rate is 2000 hertz. It is not great for ultra-light gaming as it is cumbersome and does not provide weight optimization. Thankfully, it is ergonomically sound, made for righties with palm grips, and adaptable enough for use by those with bigger hands with either a fingertip or claw grip. Ultimately, it is an excellent wireless gaming mouse due to its high performance, lack of discernible latency, and flexibility, but its unusual design may put off some users.

The EC2-B is a competent esports and casual gaming mouse that provides a reliable, minimalist offering. You can depend on its precision, responsiveness, and ease of use. The modest curve of its shape and the fact that it offers low click latency should also make it seem snappy and pleasant to use. It’s also rather lightweight, yet the cord is stiff, and the mouse’s button flexes, so the overall quality is merely adequate.

The MSI Clutch GM31 is a fast, light, and affordable gaming mouse. Dropping away from the $100/£100+ price points of most FPS-first shooters and focusing on the average player rather than the most competitive is a good move here.

The SteelSeries Prime Mini is a great FPS gaming mouse. It's lightweight and feels well-built. It has mouse feet that glide very smoothly on mousepads and desks and a flexible paracord-like cable. It also has a comfortable, right-handed shape suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes. Performance-wise, it has low click latency, a very low lift-off distance, and you can adjust the CPI by increments of 50 within a very wide range. Unfortunately, the sensor is inconsistent and undershoots the CPI more during faster cursor movements.

The EVGA X17 is a good FPS gaming mouse. It feels well-built and has a comfortable, right-handed shape suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes. However, it isn't suitable for small hands using any grip type or medium-sized hands using a fingertip grip. Performance-wise, it has good click latency, a very high maximum polling rate of 8000Hz, a very low lift-off distance, and you can adjust the CPI precisely by increments of 50 within a broad range. Unfortunately, it's heavy even without its added weights, and its braided cable isn't very flexible. The sensor on our model is also fairly inconsistent and undershoots the set CPI considerably during faster movements.

The ROCCAT Kain 200 AIMO is decent for FPS gaming, but it's heavy, its mouse feet don't glide as smoothly as most other high-end FPS gaming mice, and its click latency is only decent. That said, it feels well-built and has a comfortable right-handed shape well suited for all grip types and nearly all hand sizes. It also has a very low lift-off distance and a CPI you can adjust by increments of 100 within a wide range.

The UtechSmart VENUS Pro wireless is a good MMO gaming mouse. It feels well-built and has a ton of programmable buttons, including 12 side buttons. It has a comfortable right-handed shape that includes a thumb rest and is well-suited for medium and large-sized hands using a palm or claw grip. Performance-wise, it has a wide range of CPI, adjustable by increments of 100, and a very low lift-off distance. Unfortunately, it has a very high click latency for a gaming mouse.

The Razer DeathAdder Essential is good for FPS gaming. It has a low minimum CPI, a low lift-off distance, and satisfactory click latency, although it may not feel responsive enough for some gamers. It feels well-built and is suitable for almost all hand sizes using any grip type, but people with small hands may struggle with a claw or fingertip grip. Unfortunately, it's somewhat heavy, and its cable isn't very flexible.
