Without mind-blowing performance or any actual ray tracing-enabled games, there aren’t enough reasons to spend this much on a Nvidia RTX 2070 yet.

The Gigabyte RX 5600 XT Gaming OC 6G performed well, delivering over 60+ fps at 1080p using ultra settings, and it's capable of 1440p gaming with medium to high settings. This is a good card in the $300 price bracket.

The Aorus RX 5700 XT 8G is a great performer at 1440p with ultra settings. And with some tweaking, it’s 4K UHD/60 capable. But it's pricier than similarly performing cards.

The AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT delivers outstanding 1080p gaming, knocking out the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti thanks to a last-minute BIOS upgrade. The need to install that upgrade manually and price cuts from rival Nvidia cards takes off some of its shine, though.

The Zotac GTX 1650 Super is able to reach 60 fps or more in many titles when running 1080p resolutions and is a good value at $160. It’s SFF-friendly at just over six inches long. We just wish its fans were quieter under load.

If you've been holding off on a mainstream video card for 1080p gaming, the GeForce GTX 1660 Super could be your trigger to buy: It's a solid-playing, popularly priced waypoint between the GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti.

The GeForce RTX 2080 Super is faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 it replaces, and Nvidia’s own implementation costs $100 less than the old Founders Edition model. As a result, the Super model offers substantially better performance per dollar. Just be ready to pay a still-expensive $700 and cope with warmer temperatures.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super Founders Edition is the second most-powerful GPU ever released and great for 4K or ultra-fast 1440p gaming, but this modest upgrade loses its unique value proposition in the new-look RTX Super lineup.

Although we aren’t sure who asked for something in between the GeForce RTX 2060 and GeForce RTX 2070 Super, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2060 Super does deliver smooth frame rates across our benchmark suite at 2560 x 1440 at maxed-out detail settings. Support for real-time ray hybrid ray tracing technologies should become even more of a differentiator as time passes.

The Nvidia GTX 1080 offers exceptional graphics performance, rocketing straight to the top of the single GPU world. If you're looking to game at 4K or higher refresh rates this card is an excellent choice. Yet the price of the Founder's Edition just doesn't sit well with us.
