Nvidia’s RTX 4080 delivers impressive performance at 4K and 1440p. But at $1,199, it’s a high price to pay for a more high-end mainstream GPU.

MSI's take on AMD's new Radeon RX 6750 XT offers exceptional cooling and strong performance, but only if you can find it at the right price.

The Asus RX 6750 XT ROG Strix delivers a minor upgrade in performance to AMD's $500-class offerings. It also comes with a higher MSRP and slightly increased power draw, with a memory speed upgrade from 16Gbps to 18Gbps. Unfortunately, the memory speed boost and other updates don't seem to help as much as expected, and the Strix price premium is difficult to justify.

Asus takes the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and gooses it to even higher performance levels with a factory overclock. It's now the fastest graphics card we've tested, but we're nearing the launch window for next-gen GPUs. That, plus the high price and power draw make this card a highly questionable choice.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is an incredibly powerful graphics card. The problem is that the RTX 3090 is also an incredibly powerful graphics card and isn't that much slower - even though it costs significantly less.

The Asus GeForce RTX 3050 ROG Strix looks great, with an overclock that makes it faster than reference cards, but its high price makes it a poor value. The RX 6600 costs less, as do some RTX 3060 cards, so you're paying a lot for the looks and branding.

The MSI GeForce RTX 3080 12GB Suprim X managed to effectively tie the RTX 3080 Ti performance in most situations, thanks to its healthy factory overclock. Unfortunately, retail pricing looks equally high, which eliminates the one potential draw. It ends up as one more RTX 30-series model in an already crowded landscape, at a still-inflated price.

Gigabyte's take on AMD's Radeon RX 6500 XT budget GPU provides nearly rock-solid 1080p PC gaming performance in AAA and multiplayer titles, but it runs hot and packs unneeded ray-tracing cores.

The AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT brings ray tracing and affordable GPUs to the masses, but doing so requires some unorthodox tweaks that can affect performance. If it stays in stock near MSRP and you stick to settings it’s intended for, this is a solid mainstream 1080p graphics card, and a good option for new PC gamers.

AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 is the first true 1080p graphics card of this generation, finally. It’s fast and incredibly power efficient, but has a high price (that will soar even higher on the street) and isn’t a great 1440p option.
