The TREBLAB HD77 is alright for music. This stereo speaker has a fantastic soundstage perceived as open and spacious thanks to its 360-degree design. Its sound profile is fairly neutral, and vocals and lead instruments sound present in the mix, though its mid and treble ranges are a bit uneven, causing them to sound muddy and dull at times. Also, like most speakers its size, it doesn't get very loud and lacks a thumpy low-bass. Unfortunately, there aren't any sound customization features like a graphic EQ or presets to customize its sound to your liking.

The JBL GO 3 is acceptable for outdoor use. This speaker has a really small and lightweight design that's ideal for taking your music with you on the go, and you can clip it to your bag using its built-in hook. It's sturdy and solid, too, with an IP67 rating to protect it against exposure to dust and water. It doesn't get very loud, but if you just want to clip it to your bag on your next outdoor hike, it's a solid pick.

The JBL PartyBox 100 is satisfactory for music. This speaker has a neutral, balanced sound profile with a touch of extra bass, making it suitable for listening to lots of different music genres. It has a good soundstage, and it can get loud, though there are some compression artifacts present at max volume. Unfortunately, there isn't an EQ to customize its sound, but the Bass Boost feature gives you some control over its bass reproduction.

The JBL Pulse 4 is reasonable for outdoor use. It has a sturdy build and comes with an IPX7 rating for water resistance, though we don't currently test for this. Also, its battery lasts over 11 hours, so it's suitable for taking with you on-the-go. Although it doesn't get very loud, there isn't much compression present at max volume. Unfortunately, it lacks low-bass, and it has to downmix stereo content into mono, which isn't as immersive.

The HomePod excels as a high-quality smart speaker for listening to Apple Music, but trails behind Amazon and Google when it comes to voice control.

The Anker Soundcore Motion X600 speaker is decent for music. This speaker comes with a unique Spatial Audio feature that's designed to create a more immersive sound with your favorite tracks. Turn it on for a more crisp sound, especially regarding vocals. Lead instruments are clearly and accurately reproduced, too. If you prefer a different sound, there are many customization options on hand, including a 9-band graphic EQ and several sound presets. The BassUp feature is also great for adding more punch to the mix. As with most portable speakers, it lacks an extended low-bass to bring out all the rumble in genres like EDM and hip-hop.

The Anker Soundcore Rave Party 2 speaker sets the stage for your next get-together with bright LED lights and a karaoke input, but it's not as durable as many competitors.
