Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 is the greatest Tiger yet, but it's starting to feel like season five of The Sopranos. It's still the greatest show on TV, but it's starting to feel a bit stale. Maybe we have just become inoculated to the greatness; who knows? What is true is that the graphics and sound are straight out of 06, which is straight out of 05.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 is a great deal of fun. True Aiming means that you'll have to play more like a real golfer - gone are the days where you can pin-point a shot again and again. Though last year's next-gen game felt light on features, Tiger 07 brings up back up to bar with only a slight handicap on its scorecard. If you're a golf fan, pick this one up on launch day.

EA’s hit is stiff and nails it. Although the course list pales in comparison to the Xbox and PS2 versions of the game, you'll never need more to do thanks to an addictive and robust career mode. The courses and golfers all look amazing, while Tiger stands out as picture-perfect thanks to the new UCAP technology. But, most importantly, the gameplay keeps what we love about Tiger and adds True Aiming, which calls for course management and a bit of strategy. Finally, there is a bit of challenge built into the game and you'll have to earn every victory on tour and in the Tiger Challenge. But eventually you'll max out your stats and start plugging hole-in-ones. Hey, this is still a Tiger Woods game.

Tiger 07 is a great game of golf on the go. While slimmed down in terms of content, there's still plenty to do with PGA Season, some forgettable mini-games and online play. Visually, Tiger has a great sense of style and looks almost as good as the PS2 version, with the exception of some blocky player models. Tiger is a nice challenge when starting out, but maxed-out characters will have no problem carving up the course list -- and that's the way it should be.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for Wii is good, but not great. I like to think of it as an important first step. EA has with the title created a fun, but sometimes-flawed golf game – one overflowing with gameplay modes and options, but missing some control nuances. If you liked Wii Sports golf, but always wished you could do more with it, Tiger is your game. The control configuration works well enough to be enjoyable and entertaining most of the time, but there are also some frustrations, particularly when your seemingly straight swings send your golf balls curving into trees, anyway. On top of that, I think the series could and should look much better on Nintendo's console and am hoping that EA takes a cue from Wii Sports golf, whose presentation may be simple, but it's also finely polished. If you're a die-hard golf fan then I would recommend you pick this game up. It doesn't magically transform your Wii remote into a golf club, as you might be hoping, but as far as golf simulations go on Wii, you're not going to find any better. That is, until next year's version, which can't come soon enough.
