The Samsung Galaxy Watch is a refined vision of the company’s Gear S2 smartwatch from 2015 – and it’s the best wearable the company has yet made. We prefer the smaller 42mm model for its size and weight, though if you’re into the chunky look, the 46mm model will give you better battery life.
But it’s still only at its best when paired with a Samsung phone – using it with any other brand of phone loses the message and email apps. iOS connectivity is a little flaky, but it’s good to have the option to use with an iPhone.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch is the latest wearable by the South Korean tech giant. It’s a breath of fresh air for Android phone owners who haven’t had access to a capable alternative to the Apple Watch Series 3. But even as the Galaxy Watch ups the ante for wearables for Android users, the space of wearables as a whole really hasn’t changed.

With four days of battery life, an attractive design, great fitness features — and did we mention the battery life? — the Samsung Galaxy Watch is a step forward for smartwatches.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4G is currently the best smartwatch for Android users, bringing battery life and smoothness that Wear OS hasn’t been able to match. Moreover, the classic design and rotating bezel will be liked by many veterans and first-time smartwatch owners alike. The calling functionality is a big plus.
