Once again, Samsung's QN900B Neo QLED 8K TV has set the benchmark for Mini LED television technology, improving on its predecessor in a number of important ways, such as a noticeable reduction in light blooming, along with better image processing, brightness, audio and even design. While we have some reservations about Samsung's new (but not necessarily improved) user interface, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better LCD television this year.

The LG GX Gallery Series OLED is a feat of engineering and a home cinema lover’s dream. If you have the money for an installer to properly hide the cables and a home theater to put it in, it’s an immaculately beautiful TV both inside and out.

While Samsung’s bid to make 8K more affordable inevitably comes with one or two strings attached, the 65Q800T remains an excellent premium TV that really can make its 8K difference count – even with sub-8K content.

The LG G1 won’t be for everyone – it’s expensive and designed for wall-mounting, but the scintillating picture quality and an advanced feature set make this a screen we can all lust over.

The Q80T isn’t far off flagship calibre in Samsung’s 2020 QLED line-up. The step-up Q90T has more dimming zones and even brighter HDR, but when it comes to features and functionality we’re probably splitting hairs. It gets a big thumbs up.

I believe LG G3 OLED Evo is currently the best TV to purchase for both movies and gaming, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone

The LG C3 is an amazing TV, sure to please all but the most demanding buyers. The very good brightness in both SDR and HDR makes it well-suited to watching anything, from SDR content to the latest hit movies in HDR. It has superb reflection handling, and with its good peak brightness, the TV can handle bright rooms or glare without issue. But like almost every OLED on the market, it's better suited for a dark room, where its OLED panel, with its deep inky blacks, truly performs at its best. Its very low input lag makes it a gamer's dream, as your inputs are translated almost instantaneously to the screen, and its superb response time makes it a great choice for any fans of fast-moving content, be it sports or games, as action stays clear and crisp throughout. The TV also supports DTS, making it a fantastic choice for your home entertainment center.

The LG OLED Flex is an excellent TV overall. Its ability to curve makes it a great TV for watching movies and shows and a great gaming TV if you like to sit close and be fully immersed in the action. It has exceptional reflection handling, which is great when watching shows, sports, or movies in a room with glare, and the TV gets bright enough in both HDR and SDR to handle bright rooms. The TV's viewing angle is excellent, so the image remains consistent even when viewing the TV from the side, so watching shows or sports in a wide seating arrangement is a good experience. This TV has an incredible response time, so motion like fast-moving players or fast gaming action is crisp and sharp, with no blurring. As an OLED panel, it has deep, inky blacks with a nearly infinite contrast ratio, so movies and games look amazing. Bright highlights look great for all content, even if they can be aggressively dimmed at times.

The Sony A80K is excellent for most uses. It performs best in dark rooms while watching movies because it displays deep blacks without any blooming in dark scenes. It's excellent for HDR because of that dark room performance and the fact that it displays a wide range of colors, but its HDR brightness isn't high enough for the best HDR experience. It's great for watching TV shows and excellent for sports in well-lit rooms thanks to its wide viewing angle and incredible reflection handling, but it doesn't get bright enough to fight a ton of glare. Lastly, it's fantastic for gaming as it has variable refresh rate (VRR) support with HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, a quick response time, and low input lag.
