The Mad Catz R.A.T. DWS is okay for FPS gaming. It has low click latency when used with its USB receiver, although it isn't as low as other gaming options. It has a very low lift-off distance, a wide CPI range, and a CPI you can adjust in increments of 100. You can reprogram all of its buttons, and it has a moveable palm section that lets you adjust the length to your hand size. Unfortunately, it's very heavy, and its mouse feet are thin and feel cheap. Note that you can only use the mouse wirelessly.

The MSI GM20 ELITE is a good FPS gaming mouse, but it has high click latency and may not feel responsive enough for all gamers. That said, it feels very well-built and has a comfortable, right-handed shape suitable for all grip types and all medium and larger hand sizes. You can adjust the CPI by increments of 100 within an adequately large range. It also has a low lift-off distance, though not as low as some gaming mice. Unfortunately, there's no way to set custom profiles within the software, and you can only configure a single alternate CPI setting. Also, its rubber cable isn't very flexible, and the mouse feet only provide a decent gliding experience.

The ASUS TUF M3 is a decent FPS gaming mouse. It's fairly lightweight, feels very well-built, and has a right-handed shape ideal for a claw grip for all hand sizes or a fingertip grip for larger hands. Unfortunately, it has high click latency, a fairly stiff cable, and the sensor on our unit is quite inconsistent and undershoots the set CPI more during fast cursor movements.

With the MM830, Cooler Master clearly wants to show off its peripheral prowess. But extreme DPI levels, loads of RGB and a tiny built-in screen doesn't quite make for gaming mouse excellence.

The HyperX Pulsefire Raid is a good MMO gaming mouse, though some dedicated MMO mice have more side buttons. That said, it feels well-built and has a right-handed shape suitable for all grip types. Performance-wise, it has a wide CPI range, a CPI you can adjust by increments of 50, and a very low lift-off distance. It also has customization software for programming buttons, adjusting lighting, and changing sensor settings. Unfortunately, it has very high click latency for a gaming mouse, and the sensor undershoots the set CPI more during quick cursor movements.

The Cooler Master MM831 is decent for FPS gaming, though many gamers may find it's too heavy for quick, responsive mouse movements, the mouse feet don't glide very well directly on desks, and you can only adjust the CPI by increments of 100. Despite all this, this mouse feels well-built, has good click latency, a very low lift-off distance, and a wide CPI range.

The Apple Magic Mouse is a decent mouse for office or multimedia use. While it has middling ergonomics and will likely get uncomfortable during long work sessions, it has a good premium and well-built design that should be durable enough for office. Due to its design, you can only use it with a fingertip grip, and its lack of programmable buttons will likely bother media creators as well.

The Logitech Prodigy G203 offers a high DPI setting among budget mice along with accurate performance, and it's backed by useful companion software too. Still, its design is lacking; its all-plastic shell feels slippery, and the right-and left-mouse buttons are too mushy and loud.
