The ASUS VG258QM is an excellent gaming monitor. It has an extremely quick response time at its max refresh rate, which is very high at 280Hz, resulting in exceptionally smooth motion. It also has a low input lag and supports VRR to reduce screen tearing. Unfortunately, the response time and input lag are much worse at 60Hz. Also, the 1080p resolution may not be high enough for some people.

The Asus ROG Swift PG259QNR is the fastest gaming monitor on the planet, and it backs up the speed with solid quality, some smart features and robust design. If you’re a top-tier competitive player looking for every advantage, this is the display to get.

The LG 34GP83A-B is a great gaming monitor. It has incredibly low input lag and exceptional response time, and its 144Hz refresh rate can be overclocked up to 160Hz for even more responsiveness. It's compatible with FreeSync and G-SYNC to deliver a nearly tear-free gaming experience. Its large, high-resolution screen feels immersive, which is great for playing atmospheric games like RPGs. Unfortunately, it's not the most ideal for gaming in the dark because it has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks appear gray.

The ASUS ROG Swift PG259QN is great for gaming. It has low input lag, a quick response time, and a 360Hz refresh rate, resulting in an incredibly smooth and responsive experience. It has native G-SYNC support and FreeSync compatibility to reduce screen tearing. It isn't well-suited for gaming in the dark, though, as its IPS panel has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look grayish.

The Lenovo G34W-10 is a decent budget ultrawide gaming monitor. Its 34″ 3440×1440 curved VA panel with high contrast ratio ensures a cinematic viewing experience, and while there’s some smearing in fast-paced games, it’s mostly visible in darker scenes and doesn’t take away from the overall gaming enjoyment.

The LG 27GP750 is an excellent 240Hz budget gaming monitor as long as you don’t mind the low pixel density.
