The Aorus 15G is a well-designed workhorse, there’s no doubt about it. At $2,199, it’s clearly an investment, but a smart one. From the keyboard to the cooling system, to its strong performance, the Aorus 15G is a winner and one of my favorite gaming laptops to date.

The G14 weighs 3.5-pounds, has a battery life of more than five hours, and can easily achieve 60 fps – with ray tracing turned on – without skipping a beat. At $1,449, it's also affordably priced, especially considering everything that includes. The keyboard and speakers leave some to be desired, but they're not big enough issues that make it undesirable. If a portable and powerful gaming laptop is what you desire, then the G14 will fill that need.

Asus has remained committed to Chromebooks for years and with the C433TA it seems to have distilled all that experience into an impressive laptop. The build quality is solid and stylish, while the power on offer makes everything smooth sailing no matter how many tabs are open. Gaming performance is the only issue, but it’s not really the market that Asus is aiming at. So, if you want a quality Chromebook that looks great, works well, and has huge battery life, this is the one.

For a such a cheap price, the IdeaPad S340 is an excellent budget laptop giving you a decent amount of style and features. You get a nice keyboard, long battery life and good set of ports. Performance is what you would expect so you will be limited to basic tasks at this entry-level, so look for a more powerful model if that’s an issue. The main downside here is the poor screen, though.

The OLED-equipped Alienware m15 looks amazing, both in terms of its design and its display. And as long as you're willing to make some concessions when it comes to performance, you can even game at its full resolution. The software is a bit buggy, but the hardware is top-notch.

Huawei’s Matebook X Pro is a very good ultraportable at an attractive price, cutting a few corners here and there but concentrating its efforts where consumers care most.

Business convertibles don't come any better than the HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3, an executive 2-in-1 that combines ample power with a sunny 13.3-inch screen and a snappy keyboard in a petite 2.76-pound package.
