Suitable for gaming. These gaming headphones are for people who want a very straightforward headset. They don’t have any controls or customizable options with a software. They are compatible with every console and PCs and will offer both audio and mic support on everything. They’ll be comfortable for long gaming sessions and their microphone is great for online communication.

Good for wireless gaming. The Corsair HS70 is a wireless variant of the HS60 that offers great sound and minimal latency issues thanks to their USB dongle. The microphone of the HS70 is decent, and players online won’t have any trouble understanding you. Their battery will also last you for long gaming sessions, and you can still use them while charging. They are also compatible with the iCUE software, which lets you EQ them to your liking and enable/disable surround sound.

The versatile Kingston HyperX Cloud Mix works very well as both a wired gaming headset and a pair of Bluetooth headphones.

Good for wired gaming. The Corsair HS60 have a low latency, wired, USB connection, a decently well-balanced audio reproduction, and a good noise filtering mic. They're comfortable enough to wear for a long gaming session and have decent app support on PC. Unfortunately, they do not have the most breathable design, their USB adapter will not work for Xbox and their app is passive so you can't save any presets to the headphone.

Good for neutral listening. These headphones are comfortable to wear for hours at a time and deliver a decently well-balanced sound and a bit more bass, on average, than the Sennheiser HD 800 S. Unfortunately, their bass is prone to a lot of inconsistencies across multiple listeners, and they do not sound quite as good overall. They have a large soundstage for a closed-back design, but it's nowhere near as spacious as the HD 800 S. Their mid-range is also a bit too forward. It pushes instruments to the front of the mix, but there's a dip in the lower mid-range that creates a hole in their audio reproduction. This makes it feel like something is always missing in the mid-range no matter what track you're listening to, which is a little disappointing, especially considering the price gap between the HD 820 and the HD 800 S. Some audiophiles will appreciate the deeper bass of the HD 820 and the relatively large soundstage for a closed-back design, but it may not be worth the investment for most.

The Logitech G933 are good for gaming. They have low latency, a good mic, and sound quality and great customization options. They will work with your PS4 and PC wirelessly and you can use their regular audio cable with your Xbox controller or phone. They have a good range, a long battery life, and a decently comfortable design. They also have programmable buttons and great software support but they won't be the most versatile gaming headphones to use outdoors.

The Plantronics BackBeat Fit are decent for sports and fitness. They have excellent breathability and very good stability, so they aren't likely to fall out during brisk movements. They're a bit bigger than some other in-ear headphones, but they fold nicely and can easily be kept in your pocket.

They're also comfortable and breathable enough to wear for a reasonably long uninterrupted gaming session. Unfortunately, they don't block enough noise for particularly noisy environments, and they don't have any supporting software for added customization options.

The Logitech G533 are good for wireless gaming. These comfortable headphones have low latency, which is suitable for gaming, and an excited sound profile to help bring out the thump and rumble in sound effects without totally overpowering vocals. They also have companion software that allows you to customize their performance. Their foldable boom mic can separate your voice from moderate background noise, although it sounds thin and flat.
