If you’re looking for a gaming headset for Xbox One or Windows 10, the LucidSound LS35X are great—though I did experience occasional connectivity hiccups and, well, that’s about it. At $179 they're expensive, but this is a cool, capable headset with fantastic sound. However, they're still primarily for Xbox wireless, as the LS35Xs’ wired connection won't work with a lot of newer mobile devices.

The Superlux HD 681 are great for neutral sound. These headphones have a semi-open-back design, allowing audio to escape from the ear cups and interact with your environment, creating a natural and immersive audio experience. They also have a neutral sound profile that ensures adequate bass with detailed, clear, and present vocals and instruments. However, sibilants like cymbals are piercing.

The DT 770 are very good, closed-back, neutral listening headphones. They deliver a well balanced audio reproduction with a near perfect mid-range and a great bass that doesn't drown instruments and vocals. They don't have the spacious Soundstage of the DT 990 PRO or the DT 880, but they have a better bass thanks to the closed design. However, the bass range was a little inconsistent in our measurements and depended somewhat on the shape of the listener's head. They also tend to sound a little sharp with some tracks due to the emphasized Treble range.

The Kraken Pro V2 is a well built, great-sounding gaming headset at a price that seems just about right. It's much better than a bargain bin headset but won't necessarily blow your mind. The ear cushions are comfortable, even when worn over glasses, but tend to get hot, and the retractable mic is slick. They look kind of generic though, so I'd probably spring for the Chroma model since it has true 7.1 surround and fancy lighting for just $20 more.

The Philips SHP9500 are great for neutral sound. These cans have a very neutral sound profile that reproduces vocals and instruments clearly and accurately. Although they lack low-bass, which is expected from their open-back design, they have a touch of extra warmth and boom to help balance their sound. Their passive soundstage is wide and spacious, creating an immersive audio experience. Their low impedance means you don't need to use them with an amp to get the most out of them.

The Sennheiser HD 598 are great headphones for neutral listening. They're comfortable to use for hours, and they sound excellent with most tracks. They have a balanced bass, mid and treble response and their open design create a spacious soundstage.

Great for neutral listening. The Audio-Technica M50X offer a well-balanced audio reproduction with the right amount of bass. They have decently balanced mid-range that reproduces instruments and vocals accurately, and their treble doesn't sound too sharp or recessed. However their closed-back design might limit a bit their soundstage, but their sound quality will not disappoint.
