ViewSonic’s XG321UG is essentially a more affordable version of the Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX, my personal favorite monitor of 2021. The monitor market has moved on since last year and, as a result, the XG321UG’s flaws – most notably its lack of HDMI 2.1 – are more obvious. There’s also a broader range of OLED and Mini-LED gaming monitors available today than in 2021. Still, gamers who want a 32-inch monitor with excellent HDR performance, 4K resolution, and a high refresh rate won’t find a better choice than the XG321UG. Edge-lit LED monitors are dinosaurs. The future belongs to Mini-LED.
