The BenQ EW3270U is a good monitor for most uses. It's more suitable for dimmer environments as it can't get very bright, but it can display deep uniform blacks thanks to its VA panel. Its large screen size and 4k resolution are great for productivity and immersive gaming experiences. It can handle reflections well, but unfortunately, its ergonomics are quite bad, making it difficult to adjust to your optimal viewing position. It has a low input lag and its response time is good, resulting in very little motion blur.

An incredily accurate monitor that doesn’t require calibration (though it offers many ways to do so). Its native contrast isn’t high enough to do HDR justice, and a lack of extended gamut support may hamper Ultra HD applications. But if you only need sRGB color, this monitor should be at the top of your short list.

Aside from a few grayscale flaws in HDR mode, the EW3270U has no real issues to bring it down. It provides a decent gaming experience with FreeSync and LFC, and delivers the best DCI-P3 gamut we’ve measured to date. HDR support means extra dynamic range with appropriate content, and its VA panel sports good contrast in HDR mode. There's still room for improvement, but this is one of the best HDR 4K monitors we've tested yet--especially given its roughly $700 asking price.

The Philips 326E8F leaves out a few non-essentials, like USB ports, speakers and a fancy stand. But it delivers bold and accurate color, excellent contrast and smooth video processing via FreeSync and 75Hz. Breaking price barriers for 32-inch screens, it’s definitely worth a serious look.
