The AOC CU34G2X is impressive for gaming. It has a high 144Hz refresh rate with native FreeSync VRR and G-SYNC compatibility that you can achieve over a DisplayPort connection. It has low input lag and a fairly quick response time, but like other VA panel monitors, there's noticeable black smearing. It's great for dark room gaming as it has high contrast, but it lacks a local dimming feature.

The AOC CU34G2X isn’t the brightest monitor out there, but its high native contrast and super-accurate color deliver an excellent image. With 144 Hz and FreeSync and G-Sync (unofficially) with HDR, game performance is among the best we’ve seen at its current price point. It’s definitely worth serious consideration for ultra-wide seekers.

Although you may either love or be unimpressed by that subtle black and red design, there's no arguing with this monitor's performance - it's exceptional.

It’s impressive how much the AOC CU34G2X packs in for a little over $300, putting it toe-to-toe with much more expensive options. However, its availability makes it difficult to actually get a hold of.

The AOC CU34G2X is a good gaming monitor that promotes an immersive gaming experience with its ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio and large 34-inch curved screen. It provides near-excellent image quality due to it’s high contrast and accurate colors. The fast 144Hz refresh rate and FreeSync compatibility also make this a solid option for gamers. The only real downside is the price, which is high, but still better than most competitors with similar features.

The Odyssey Neo G9 makes for sublime gaming experiences. Ultrawide gaming is already fantastic, but super ultrawide is on a whole other level.
