The MSI GS66 Stealth is a well-built and potent high-end gaming laptop, but it has a few shortcomings (especially considering the price of our review configuration) and loses some of the identity of its predecessor.

For the most part, the MSI GS66 Stealth is a good laptop that should meet the design, ergonomics, performance, and battery life expectations of its potential buyers, but it's also affected by small imperfections and quirks. Many of those concern the system's performance and thermals in demanding loads, that's why I'd primarily look into the lower-tier i7 + RTX 2060/2070 configurations of this laptop, as versatile a work/school computer with only secondary gaming abilities. A top-notch 240Hz screen ideal for eSports is the highlight here. There’s plenty of power and a portable design but battery life is so so and there are thermal issues, too.

The MSI GS66 Stealth is an amazing laptop for gaming. Its QHD display, high refresh rate, and G-Sync makes games look and feel stunning. It won’t come cheap, but if you’re looking for a high-end gaming PC to take on the go, the Stealth is a solid option.

The MSI GS66 Stealth is a good upgrade from the GS65 Stealth, offering a welcome redesign and top-notch specs. Some pesky flaws mean the GS66 Stealth might fall short at a price point that is more fiercely competitive than ever.
