Packed with affordable tech like the Nvidia RTX 2060, this mid-range gaming laptop will be a great choice for gamers who want to save some cash with only a few compromises. The only major downside is the lack of storage space, unless you like playing only a couple of games at a time.

While it might fall into the same pitfalls as most gaming laptops - namely, poor speakers and mediocre battery life - the Lenovo Legion 5i (2022) is a fierce offering with a sensible price tag, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a gaming laptop that can go the distance but won’t break the bank.

The 2022 Lenovo Legion 5i is a fresh design with cleaner looks and improved ergonomics, as well as an updated set of specs, now running at higher power than before and more capable in demanding loads and in games. On top of that, Lenovo were able to polish some of my nits with the previous 5 generations. At the same time, this remains a full-size laptop with only average-quality screens, so it's highly competitive in its mid-tier class, but not necessarily the ideal option for everyone.
