The Acer Predator Triton 500 SE's features and components outdo the existing Triton 500's, but a few build-quality and storage-size shortcomings keep it from a top recommendation.

The 2022 Triton 500 SE is a hardware bump of the 2021 generation, with a handful of other minor updates. Paired with the sturdy build and the excellent inputs and screen options, this could be a competent multi-purpose laptop, but my recommendation would primarily go towards the more affordable i7/3060 configurations, as the Triton 500 SE is only a mid-powered portable design with some thermal limitations in demanding loads. We're getting in-depth in the review down below.

The Acer Predator Triton 500 SE has the look of a top tier gaming laptop from its aggressively styled build, beautiful WQXGA display and respectable specs. But behind those attractive specs is a hollow device that offers below average gaming performance, low storage and weak speakers.
