Acer’s Predator Triton 300 SE is a fantastic-looking 14-inch gaming laptop that delivers respectable frame rates with its Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card. But some build quality issues and bloatware keep this from being the best option.

The Acer Predator Triton 300 SE is an especially powerful gaming laptop regardless of size. However, other 14-inch gaming laptops have it beat when it comes to fan noise and SSD performance.

The Acer Predator Triton 300 SE is the first laptop with an RTX 3060 that's come through our proverbial halls, which also makes it the most affordable 3000-series laptop we've tested. Its fantastic build quality, unique but not over-the-top design, and respectable 1080p performance make it a great choice if you don't want to break the $1,500 barrier, though it's far from the only option at its price point. Last-gen machines like the ROG Zephyrus M15 (review) may come in a bit cheaper for a small bump down in performance, and there are also plenty more 3060-based options coming to market that could give the Triton a run for its money.
