Acer Chromebook 515

Chromebooks are Chromebooks, so this isn’t the machine if you’re looking for full flexibility. But its power plant tears through ChromeOS, its battery is entirely decent, and its large screen makes it a highlight against the competition. We’d argue with Acer’s intention to point this towards the business market, though: its webcam is terrible, and there’s no Ethernet.

Acer’s Chromebook 515 ticks most of the right boxes, but is held back by ChromeOS.

The Acer Chromebook 515 is a great mid-range Chromebook with a large 15-inch screen. It looks good, and offers up a decent port selection and keyboard, while its performance is snappy with a high capacity drive for the price, too. Just watch out for the underwhelming expected battery life.

If a large screen is top of your priorities when shopping for a new Chromebook, then the 515 has plenty to offer. You don’t get a touchscreen as standard, but the device is fast, has decent specs and should last a good few years.
