The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is an outstanding gaming keyboard. It has exceptionally low latency, and the clicky Green switches have very low pre-travel and feel relatively light to press, making them very responsive. Unfortunately, these switches are somewhat inconsistent in how they sound and feel, but there's also a linear Yellow switch type available that we don't expect to exhibit this inconsistency. That said, the build quality is good overall. There are also many extra features, including a USB passthrough and eight dedicated macro keys that you can customize directly on the keyboard or within the customization software.

The BlackWidow V4 Pro is designed to do it all — gaming, typing, streaming, you name it — by bringing back the features we’ve been missing recently: dedicated macro keys and media keys, USB passthrough, and extra-glowy RGB lighting.

Razer's BlackWidow V4 Pro keyboard includes just about everything hardcore and professional gamers might need, and only one thing they don't: a high price.

The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro might wear the clothing of a gaming keyboard, but its plentiful features make it much more substantial than that moniker suggests. Its nifty and customisable Command Dial, heaps of macro keys and surprisingly ergonomic design make it just as suited to creative office work as gaming. It’s a touch on the pricey side, but that’s what you get for the Razer stamp of quality.

The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is a dream for any gamer looking for a performance- and feature-packed keeb. It’s comfortable to type and game on, and gorgeous to look at thanks to that floating keycap design. It’s expensive, it loses the wireless capability of its predecessor, and it doesn't do the best job of implementing the USB passthrough. But it more than makes up for that with the return of those dedicated Macro keys.

If you have a lot of desk space, Razer’s big and bold BlackWidow V4 Pro will fill it with a wide array of customizable, brightly lit, and amazingly responsive buttons and knobs. It’s a bit of a shame it doesn’t include hot-swappable switches or a wireless option. But for the right kind of gamer – or creative – the board's five onboard profiles and eight macro buttons will be a godsend.
