The Keychron Q8 is an excellent keyboard for office use. It feels incredibly well-built and comfortable to type on, thanks to its Alice layout. The companion software is available on all major operating systems, and there's an operating system toggle on the top of the keyboard to ensure full compatibility. It's also very quiet to use, thanks to the layers of sound-dampening foam inside the board. However, the Alice layout can take a bit of getting used to at first, so your typing speed and accuracy will take a bit of a hit if you're only used to straight boards.

- Ergonomic Layout - Keychron Q8 is a 65% Alice layout all-metal mechanical keyboard. The keyboard is split into left and right halves for balance, and the curved split keyframe allows for more natural typing, working all day, reducing wrist fatigue and forearm muscles strain. With the full aluminum CNC machined body, double-gasket design, and QMK/VIA support, the Q8 is designed for premium typing comfort and endless possibility.
- Hot-swappable - The hot-swappable sockets are compatible with almost all the MX style 3pin and 5pin mechanical switches on the market (including Gateron, Cherry, Kailh, etc.), you can hot-swap the Q8 version without soldering. The big keys'(space bar, shift, enter, delete) typing experience is now more stable and smooth with the new screw-In PCB stabilizers.
- South-facing RGB LED Lights - Designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist's angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.
- Double-Gasket Design - New innovative structure in the industry. In addition to the gaskets on the plates, we added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals. This design allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound.
- Pre-lubed Gateron G Pro Switch - The Optimized molded switch with more precise positioning and less wobble will undoubtedly improve the feel at your fingertips. With the fully assembled Q8 version fitted with factory pre-lubricated Gateron G Pro switches, a smoother travel experience is guaranteed for you.

Keychron’s Q series is still great in terms of quality and customization, and it now comes in the popular Alice layout. It’s easy to buy if you want a layout that’s good for your body, great typing, and lots of features.
