The Turtle Beach Recon 500 is a solid, midrange headset. It’s extremely comfortable, provides a good audio experience, and comes with a great mic. And thanks to it’s wired status, it’s compatible with multiple platforms. The headset would have benefited from more external functions, namely the ability to separately adjust the chat and game audio via a button or wheel. That said, the Recon 500 is still one of the better console-based headsets in its price range.
