The EPOS H3 gaming headset may not be breaking the mould in the same way as its wireless little brothers, but it still offers gamers a quality, classic-feeling headset. While the lack of a detachable mic prevents it from being a truly excellent all-rounder headset, its impressively wide soundscape, powerful low-end and brilliant mic quality make the H3 a great option for indoor audio.

The Epos H3 is a robust headset. Its subtle style and solid audio quality have a lot to offer, especially for a simple 3.5mm headset with no special features or audiophile-grade aspirations. Some of its quirks devolve into flaws, which keeps it from being an obvious upgrade pick, but it delivers more than what I tend to expect from a plug-and-play headset.

The EPOS H3 is an extremely comfortable headset that delivers well-balanced and detailed sound. Though it’s primarily designed for gaming, we found ourselves reaching for the H3’s to listen to our favorite songs, which is a testament to just how great they sound. If you’re looking for a wired headset that delivers in every area that matters – audio quality, comfort and crystal-clear communication – the EPOS H3 won’t let you down.

The EPOS H3 offers immersive audio performance without the overpowering bass present on rivals, and it handles spatial audio incredibly well too. The 3.5mm jack means it’s compatible with most consoles and platforms, but the lack of wireless connectivity may disappoint some.
