AMD's Radeon RX 6700 XT is a solid competitor to Nvidia's lineup of midrange GPUs—if you stick to recent, optimized titles.

The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is an excellent 1440p graphics card, bringing the RDNA 2 architecture to a slightly more affordable price. However its proximity to the RTX 3070 in price means that it might not be the best choice, depending on the games you want to play.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT is a very good gaming GPU for 1440p and 1080p gaming. Without a Ryzen CPU compatible with Smart Access Memory or an answer to DLSS, it still lags behind the RTX 3070, however, which makes it feel too expensive at $479.

AMD's cheapest RDNA 2 graphics card to date isn't entirely convincing in the first detailed tests. This is not due to the fact that the graphics card would not be good, but rather because Nvidia is represented in this price range with the GeForce RTX 3070.
