For wedding photographers and other hybrid shooters who need to combine stills with video, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II ticks all the right boxes and more besides. Building on the success of the original R6, it has more megapixels, faster stills shooting rates and better video performance, with no time limits at most resolutions and an end to overheating problems. Just like the original, though, it’ll cost you.

The EOS R6 II has some worthwhile improvements over the original R6, which already had a big fan base. The burst shooting is excellent, the autofocus is highly effective, low light performance is terrific and the slight resolution boost to 24MP is welcome. The 8-stop IBIS system is by no means a guarantee of sharp shots, though, and the R6 II looks pretty expensive for a 24MP full frame hybrid camera.
