Canon EOS 6D Mark II
The Canon 6D Mark II is good for landscape photography. Images are sharp, color-accurate, and mostly free of visual noise even at high ISO levels, good for nighttime shooting conditions. It's also quite sturdily built, with an aluminum and polycarbonate construction that's rated as being weather-sealed. It's comfortable to use and has a bright screen that you can easily read under direct sunlight. However, its bulky size and considerable weight with its kit lens attached can be a bit of a hindrance on long hikes to remote shooting locations.

The Canon EOS 6D Mark II improves upon its predecessor with 26-megapixel resolution, improved Live View focus, and a 45-point autofocus system, but its sensor isn't as good as competing models.

Thanks to the relatively affordable price of the Canon EOS 6D Mark II, it's easier than ever for photographers to move into a full-frame DSLR.

Canon has certainly made the EOS 6D Mark II a more well-rounded and better specified camera than the EOS 6D, but it's not without its issues. These niggles dull what is otherwise a very nice full-frame DSLR that's a pleasure to shoot with. It will certainly please Canon users looking to make the move into full-frame photography, but others might be better served elsewhere.

With the recent release of the Canon EOS 6D Mark II, there’s a new, junior full-frame DSLR for enthusiasts to get excited about. It positions itself below the EOS 5D Mark IV and above the EOS 7D Mark II, entering the market with a price of £1999.99 (body only).

Another significant advantage this camera has over many other full-frame DSLRs is its 3in, 1040k-dot vari-angle touchscreen, which replaces the 3in, 1040k-dot fixed screen of old.

Canon DSLR’s are known for being reliable performers. After shooting with the camera for a week in the Scottish Highlands, the EOS 6D Mark II certainly lived up to my expectations.
