With a 180-degree tilting gimbal, a battery that charges via USB-C and the ability to record 4K HDR video, the Anafi is a well-priced drone. It can capture great 4K HDR video and detailed photos, but hides away other features behind in-app purchases.

This thin, bug-like drone is an excellent choice for flight experts and filmmakers. Its incredible vertical range camera captures 4K UHD films and 21MP photos, plus sports 2.8x lossless zoom. Its lightweight, slim frame won’t take up much room in your bag. But, the lack of obstacle avoidance makes it difficult to recommend over DJI for newbies.

French company Parrot is Europe’s biggest drone manufacturer, but it’s fair to say that Far Eastern rivals like DJI have proven themselves to be in an entirely different league when it comes to the performance and quality of their flying machines. Parrot’s Anafi feels like its first genuine attempt at catching up.
