The new $799 Mavic Air shares a lot of similarities with both the DJI Spark and the Mavic Pro and Pro Platinum. Like those models, it’s a compact drone with a 12-megapixel camera and a handful of different flying and shooting modes.

Although you may not consider it cheap, the Mavic Air is astounding value for money. It’s the most advanced consumer drone you can currently buy and shoots great-quality video and panoramic photos.
The Quickshot modes are brilliant, there’s best-ever obstacle avoidance and it’s small enough to carry everywhere with you.
Ultimately, this is the drone you’ve been waiting to buy.

Smaller, more compact and less expensive than its predecessor, the DJI Mavic Air still has the same great camera and some new features that make this drone even better.

A small drone with huge ambitions, the DJI Mavic Air packs 4K video recording, a three-axis gimbal, an upgraded obstacle avoidance system and onboard storage into a compact and foldable form factor that easily slips into a jacket pocket. You’d be hard pressed to find a better drone that packs up so neatly and has as many smarts as this one.
