However, its overall sound is a bit honky and harsh out of the box due to an overemphasis in its high-mids. Also, it lacks a lot of low-bass, so fans of bass-heavy genres like EDM and hip-hop notice less thump and rumble in the mix. The graphic EQ in the JBL Portable app gives you some control over its sound, though.
