Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio has a flexible design for both traditional and touch-based computing, with a great keyboard and trackpad and a bright 120 Hz display. But if raw CPU power is key, look to competitors that offer 8-core CPUs.

Packed with innovative features, Microsoft's Surface Laptop Studio presages a new breed of laptop for creative pros who are pen-input devotees. One big quibble: Performance isn’t nearly class-leading.

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Studio feels like the wave of the future, but you’ll pay a little more for this content creation/consumption/gaming convertible 2-in-1 that is helping to launch Windows 11.

Microsoft’s new Surface Laptop Studio looks like a traditional laptop from afar, but get closer and you’ll see it has something unique under its sleeve. But that uniqueness costs a lot, in both money and battery life.

Microsoft's Surface Laptop Studio is a premium 2-in-1 that's good enough to handle working, gaming, and creating digital art on the go. Whether it's the right laptop for you depends on how much you want that sliding 120 Hz screen.

The Surface Laptop Studio is technically the best 3-in-1 you can buy, with credible use cases for all three modes. However, you’ll have to really want or need them to justify the high cost.

The Surface Laptop Studio follows in the footsteps of the Surface Book lineup, and brings about one of the most compelling laptops in Microsoft's history. Microsoft could have gone for more powerful hardware, but in the end, it probably won't matter too much, as the unique form factor is probably the biggest selling point here.

Whether you like the Surface Laptop Studio or not will hinge on whether you do creative work, it’s an expensive piece of hardware – and at 4 pounds, I would like to see a little more power under the hood. Still, as far as a Gen 1 device goes, it’s none too shabby. If you’re looking for a unique computer featuring great hardware and a phenomenal battery, the Laptop Studio fits the bill. You just might need to temper your gaming expectations a bit.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio offers a fantastic design for digital artists, allowing you to fold the screen flat against the keyboard to use it as a makeshift graphics tablet. But this may only be a worthwhile device for hobbyists and causal content creators, as during testing we found the lack of high-end GPU options and the screen’s low colour coverage hampers its ability to compete with professional-grade devices.

El Surface Laptop Studio es técnicamente el mejor equipo 3 en 1 que puedes comprar hoy en día, con casos de uso muy útiles para los tres modos. Sin embargo, tendrás que sacarles partido para poder justificar su alto precio de compra.

Microsoft's Surface Pro 9 is a polished and powerful tablet running off of a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor. A crisp and bright screen, great performance and solid battery life make this a solid tablet for work and play.
